Apprenticeship Programme
Our industry, and South Africa at large, has a huge and growing need for skilled, qualified artisans. As an industry leader, we require a very specific skill set and practically minded people who do things the Jendamark way.
Jendamark sees great value in training and developing young artisans, while creating a talent pool for the rapidly evolving engineering world. Since 2012, we have been running our own in-house apprenticeship programme. This challenging four-year programme is MERSETA-approved and endorsed by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
Jendamark offers apprenticeships in the following three trades and candidates need a minimum of a Technical Matric (with Maths and Science) or must meet the relevant criteria:
Trade | Minimum Criteria |
Tool-, Jig- and Die-maker | Matric + N2 with relevant trade theory subjects |
Mechanical Fitter | Matric + N2 with relevant trade theory subjects |
Millwright | Matric + N3 with relevant trade theory subjects |
Applicants are drawn from the Department of Labour database and technical high schools. Job opportunities are also listed on our careers page.
